HEAL OUR LAND UK
Britain is in trouble - far more than most people realise or our Government and community leaders wish to publicly acknowledge. There has never been a greater need for the message of Christ to heal our land and there has never been greater opportunity! Christians need to "find their voice again" and take the message of salvation "to the streets".
With this in mind, Gospel artists Denis & Lloyd Wade of “The Wades” have joined forces with national authors and speakers, Dr. Clifford & Monica Hill, evangelist Steve Mullins and international missionary/evangelists, Syd & Liz Doyle, to produce "Heal Our Land UK". This interactive musical event will be released in the UK, Spring 2010. Christian leaders from many backgrounds agree that this new production by Jimmy & Carol Owens, adapted by major British - based songwriters and artists from many styles and ethnicities, can be instrumental in creating an atmosphere of repentance, a culture of prayer and a fresh passion for Jesus, as did “Come Together” and “If My People” in past renewal movements
NEW FORCE FOR A NEW FIELD
Today we see a new field before us.
Many young people have never heard the Gospel.
Increasing numbers of people are engaged in destructive lifestyles.
Over 3 million people, many from lands that have been closed to the Gospel, have moved into the UK over the last 10 years.
Amongst this great influx of people, there are many faithful believers whom God has brought to partner with the British church, forming a new force to reach a new field.
JOINING FORCES TO HEAL OUR LAND
These events are designed to encourage believers from all traditions, streams, age groups, ethnicities and races to come together for two weeks, bringing healing to their communities. We believe that God wants to unite His people in a powerful move of love and holiness, to accelerate the good work that is already going on through the church, and to provide a means for further understanding and cooperation between Christian believers, so that together we can see “Broken Britain” healed.
PRAYER AND PREPARATION
Each “Heal Our Land UK” production will be preceded by a week of united prayer and preparation. Dr. Clifford Hill with Jimmy & Carol Owens have written a book designed to mobilise the church in effective, targeted prayer. The book also includes a study guide for churches and small groups. Prayer networks around the world will be united in prayer for Britain
“HEAL OUR LAND UK” PRODUCTION
This interactive musical production has wide appeal. It includes new sounds created by multicultural musicians giving expression to the new force God is raising up to reach the new field. It reflects the diversity of age, ethnicity, style and history of the Church in the UK. It can be staged in large and small venues.
In Liverpool, several churches are joining together to sponsor a city wide event. There will be a variety of music, drama, dance, and media presentations, presented by local choirs, led by Gospel artist Lloyd Wade and the “Heal Our Land” singers. Prayers and responsive readings will be led by local and national church leaders.
In smaller venues, a “tool kit” will be available with backing tracks and information to train local people how to join together and have a Heal Our Land UK event in their town or village.
“LOVE GB” EVENTS TO REACH OUT TO OUR COMMUNITIES
The “Heal Our Land” musical, will be followed by a week dedicated to evangelism in the local area. Under the banner of “Love GB”, Heal Our Land UK evangelists will join local evangelists to encourage church outreach events, street ministry, and united efforts.
A “Heal Our Land UK” CD is in production and should be enjoying airplay in early 2010.
REGIONAL PROMOTIONAL EVENTS
“Heal our Land UK” will be “covering” the British Isles over the next 2 years beginning, April 2010. If you would like to explore together the possibility of it coming to your area and find out how “Heal Our Land UK” can be used to bring healing and further the Kingdom of God where you live and work, please contact our team who would be pleased to meet with you.

CAN BROKEN BRITAIN BE HEALED?
HEAL OUR LAND UK
It was the autumn of 1973, the condition of the United Kingdom was very dark indeed. Many churches were small and contentious, numbers were diminishing. The government was socialistic and rapidly heading toward communism. Inflation, unemployment, crippling strikes and riots were rampant. Spiritually and socially our nation was in crisis.
In 1971, “Festival of Light” was launched. Its purpose was to protest against sexual exploitation in the media and the arts and to proclaim the Christian Gospel as the positive answer to the problem. Thousands had marched to Hyde Park where over 100,000 knelt to pray for the nation and hear testimonies and musical presentations. This continued on with regional rallies and marches across the country. Social action and training took place across the nation. This was the beginning of a national turn around.
Jimmy & Carol Owens with Liz Doyle
From 1973 to 1976, two other things happened that were key elements in this change. “Come Together” and “If My People”, written by Jimmy and Carol Owens were introduced to the U.K. by Jean Darnall. They brought the divided church together and ultimately gave new unity and strength to the nation.
Through “Come Together” multitudes of churches united for worship. In Leeds, 120 churches joined together to put it on. During its first year 30 cities organized mass choirs and did some 400 presentations. It took to the streets. It shook the nation.
The Voice, Voice Publications, 33 Balfour St. Runcorn, WA7 4PH 3/1/2010
Two Members of Parliament were so touched at “Come Together” that they went to the Archbishop of Canterbury and asked him to call the nation to turn to God. The Queen echoed his call, and the nation stopped to pray. From the mass choir singers to the Queen, it literally grabbed the nation's attention.
“If My People” then brought the church together to pray for the nation. In cathedrals, concert halls, churches or parks, the effects were the same.
Out of unity came intercession. God began to move. Spiritually, the effect on the nation was measurable. New churches sprang up, denominational churches that were dying began to introduce contemporary worship which opened the doors to thousands of new believers. Many of the church leaders today were impacted by the “Come Together” and “If My People” musicals. Within five years you could measure it socially. In 1977-78, England was the second poorest nation in Europe. In 1979 Margaret Thatcher was elected Prime Minister, and the nation turned around within two or three years. Inflation and unemployment fell, the strikes and riots stopped, and by 1988, England was the #2 power in Europe.

A NEW FORCE FOR A NEW FIELD
Many years ago Jesus said, ‘ Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, they are white already for harvest...’ John 4:35. Today He points us a new ‘Field’. Many of our young people have never heard the Gospel of Jesus and are suffering because of it. Increasing numbers are engaged in destructive lifestyles and need to find a way out.
Further to that, in the last ten years the UK has seen an influx of an estimated 3 million people of all ages, ethnicities and languages, many come from lands historically closed to the Gospel. Those engaged in ‘Heal our Land’ are tapping into the incredible love that God the Creator has for these millions. They believe that God has brought them to our shores to hear about the Forgiveness and Joy that is to be found in the Good News about Christ.
The new interactive musical event, Heal our land UK combined with prayer and outreach, will be released in the UK, May 10, 2010 in Liverpool Cathedral. Christian leaders from many backgrounds agree that this new production by Jimmy & Carol Owens, adapted by major British - based songwriters and artists from many styles and ethnicities, can be instrumental in creating an atmosphere of repentance, a culture of prayer and a fresh passion for Jesus, as did “Come Together” and “If My People” in past renewal movements.
Premier Media, UCB and Revelation/Genesis TV, Christian Broadcasting Council, and the UK Christian Music Alliance are amongst the many organisations
promoting this new initiative.
One of the main themes of Heal Our Land UK is to recognise that with this new harvest field, God has provided a new ‘Harvest Force’ - thousands of Christians have come, also from around the world, to join with the British believers to help bring in this harvest! Over the past 50 years since the time when people from the Commonwealth nations came to help rebuild Britain after the second world war, there has been a steady influx of new people to these shores. Many have been faithful believers from the Caribbean whom God has brought to partner with the British church.
Over 700 people attended the Preview Event in the Emmanuel Centre, Westminster, London in January.
These new arrivals came, not only help rebuild a devastated and broken Britain but alsoto serve, witness and evangelize the country. Many were those who had been fighting alongside our own troopsbecause they were from many Commonwealth nations. This included Africans, Indians, Pakistanis and the renowned Gurkhas.
As British believers, we think it is about time to publicly recognize their contributions in the past and to presently acknowledge their spiritual gifts and abilities, to welcome and embrace them for the work of the Gospel here in the UK and beyond.
We have a wonderful opportunity before us today to establish and extend the Kingdom of God amongst us and to save our nation’s Christian heritage for the next generations of our children.
At, www.healourlanduk.com and on the Facebook pages of ‘Heal Our Land UK Central’, ‘Heal Our Land Merseyside’, and Heal Our land UK Ashford, we are working strategically and Cross - Culturally to reach the lost and see our broken nation healed once again. We are calling on God together and returning to the Biblical foundations of His Word at every level.
*His people are from every nation under the sun..................
JOINING FORCES TO HEAL OUR LAND
“Heal Our land UK” is more than a musical presentation. It is regional, area, city, town and village churches and believers coming together from all traditions, streams, age groups, ethnicities and races for two weeks to bring spiritual healing to their communities. We believe that God wants to unite all His people in a powerful move of love and holiness across our land, to accelerate the work that is already going on through His church, and to provide a means for further understanding and cooperation between Christian believers. We believe that together as we Praise, Pray and Proclaim in a public setting we can see our “Broken Britain” healed according to 2 Chronicles 7:14.
LIVERPOOL - A NEW “MERSEY-BEAT”?
In the 1960‘s a new sound resonated from this city that literally changed the world...young men and women led by the “Beatles” ushered in a new morality. This new morality lauded “free love”, experimenting with drugs and eastern mysticism. Over the decades we have seen the damaging results - broken lives, marriages and society. Over the last few years a new sound has been rising up in Liverpool, it is the voice of believers from all backgrounds and denominations joining together to lift up the Name of Jesus in prayer.
